This exercise can be useful to train the possession in 1-4-2-3-1, however the idea of the exercises this blog are not connected to a unique system of play.
The goalkeeper passes the ball to the center forward who must send it to one of the two midfielders to start the game (1) .
When two of three advanced midfielders have played the ball, the third one decides for a width run (3) or a depth run (4); then the midfielder who played ball first must cover the space in depth (3) or width (4) .
If the defenders win ball they must dribble it over the goal line (5) .
Exercise always restarts from the goalkeeper.
