This possession game is one of the first exercises I ran on the field with my U14 team during the first week of pre-season.
The main goal is to build up teh moves from the goalkeeper and with the defenders as support.
Then a numerical advantage must be created in the end zone, passing the ball toward the space or dribbling inside there.

Two teams of 6 players, including the goalkeepers, play on a small sided pitch (40×30 yards). 2 defenders of each team play inside the two outer areas; a 3 v 3 duel is played in the center area.
The moves always start from the goalkeeper and the attacking team must keep the possession alternating the passings among the midfielders and the defenders.
The defending team must then close the possible pass lanes and close the spaces.
When 2 of the 3 midfielders have played the ball, the third one can receive (or dribble) into the end zone to finish, or to pass toward the team mate as there is a 3 v 2 numerical advantage situation.
In this case, the two defenders must mark the men on and cover the goal’s space.
