This game has the goal to make the build up of the move from the back and of the and possession phases effective,

creating numerical advantage situations near the ball.

I used this game in some of the first sessions of the season and I will run it again several times for sure as it’s one of the main goal of the season, together with new variations.

In this session 20 players were available (2 goalkeepers included)

An half of a full pitch is divided in three parts that; a building up area, one for the possession (the center one) and one of the finishing phase.

Two teams play with 4 defenders, 3 midfielders and 2 forwards; all them start to play inside their own area. The moves always start from the goalkeeper, building up from the back.

All the players, but one, must play the ball inside the building area; the one who has not touched the ball, he can run forward to the next area to create numerical advantage; these players are supposed to be full backs.

It is possible to look for a deeper team mate and another one can run forward at the same time during the possession phase to support the attackers and to create numerical advantage.

If the defending team revovers the possession, a counter attack can be organized freely.

When the ball goes outof the pitch, the move is started again by the goalkeeper of the team  in possession.
